Developed for all-day comfort, the New Balance 928 men’s walking shoe offers industry-leading motion control and superior stability thanks to our ROLLBAR and Walking Strike Path technologies. Add to that ABZORB midfoot cushioning, a seamless Phantom Liner and an odor-resistant treatment and you've got a shoe that can take you from 9 to 5 to whenever.

Specifications:

Weight: ~440.2 g (15.4 oz) based on a standard size
Upper Material: Full-grain cow leather (or suede/mesh combinations depending on the model) with a seamless, odor-resistant Phantom lining.
Closures: Traditional lace-up or hook-and-loop (velcro) strap options.
Sizes & Widths: Sizes 7 through 16, available in Narrow (B), Standard (D), Wide (2E), X-Wide (4E), and XX-Wide (6E).
Last: Built on the SL-2 last (features a deeper, wider toe box, higher instep, and narrower heel).

Fit Notes:

True-to-Size Length: Most wearers and retailers recommend ordering your usual size.
Width Options: This model is famous for accommodating a wide range of foot shapes. It is manufactured in multiple widths ranging from Narrow (B) up to Standard (D), Wide (2E), X-Wide (4E), and XX-Wide (6E).
Initial Stiffness: The shoe can feel stiff at first and requires a brief break-in period before softening up to the foot's natural motion.
Snug, Supportive Feel: The upper uses a mix of leather and a foam-padded collar and tongue that creates a locked-in, secure fit around the ankle and midfoot.
Motion Control and Bulk: Because it includes a firm ROLLBAR stability post system and a heavier build (roughly 15.4 to 15.5 oz), it feels more rigid and substantial than a lightweight running or casual sneaker.

Best For:

Overpronation and Flat Feet: Built with the ROLLBAR stability post system to control rearfoot movement and reduce excessive rolling of the foot.
Long Hours on Your Feet: Ideal for people working long shifts, standing all day, or logging daily walking miles.
Custom Orthotics: Features a removable polyurethane footbed and is built on New Balance's SL-2 last, which offers a deeper toe box, higher instep, and room for custom inserts.
Impact Cushioning: Uses ABZORB midfoot cushioning for shock absorption and a Walking Strike Path outsole to guide a smooth stride.
On-Duty or Uniform Wear: Frequently used as an all-day supportive work or standing shoe (such as for security, retail, or service jobs), available in leather uppers.
