Founded by a family with a deep love for running and community, Dave’s Running Shop has grown from a small local store into a trusted gathering place for runners of all levels. What began as a passion for the sport quickly became a commitment to the people—supporting local races, hosting group runs, mentoring new runners, and giving back through community events and partnerships. For decades, Dave’s Running Shop has been more than a place to buy gear; it’s been a home base for connection, encouragement, and the shared joy of every mile.
1973 - 1976
The Beginning
In the Spring of 73' Dave's mobile Van takes route and starts by visiting local companies. Then in 1976 the first Dave's Running Shop opens in Toledo.
Early 2000's
Dave's Moves Locations
With business growing and the need for a bigger and better location, Dave's begins the early days of the Sylvania, Ohio location.
The Year of 2008
Dave's Growth Phase
Rapid growth and expansion into new markets starts Dave's into opening the Perrysburg location and with it the Training Program.
2012
Growth Continues
Dave's continues offering best in class service to it's customers and with the increase in demand open's a Findlay location.
