Middle distance runners are tough, no doubt about that. So Brooks made the Hyperion Elite MD to help you get the most out of yourself in every race. Designed for 800m - 1,500m track races, these ultralight spikes deliver just-right cushioning plus an ultralight carbon fiber propulsion plate to help you power forward. The 6-pin spike design provides reliable traction while helping you stay aggressively up on your toes to pass runners and pull away to the finish line.

Specifications:

Best For: 800m – 1,500m track races
Weight: 5.4 oz / 153.1 g
Midsole Drop: 0 mm
Spike Count: 6-pin detachable spike configuration in the forefoot
Width: Medium (1D)
Sizing: Listed in men's sizing (add 1.5 sizes for women's equivalent; e.g., Unisex/Men's 7.0 = Women's 8.5)

Fit Notes:

Sizing and Gender Conversion: Built in unisex sizing, men's sizes are listed primarily, and women's equivalents require adding 1.5 sizes (e.g., a men's 4.0 is a women's 5.5, scaling up to men's 13.0 / women's 14.5).
Width: Standard medium width (1D) with a forgiving, slightly wider forefoot layout compared to typical narrow mid-distance spikes.
Lockdown and Upper: Features a deconstructed, highly porous, and lightweight woven/TPU upper that wraps the foot securely without excess weight or slipping during sharp curves and fast kicks.
Underfoot Feel: Designed with a 0mm drop, a carbon-fiber SpeedVault Race Plate, and responsive foam (DNA FLASH v2 or DNA GOLD depending on the exact MD/MD 2 iteration) that guides you smoothly onto your toes.

Best For:

Primary Events: 800m, 1,500m, and the mile.
Secondary Events: Can stretch down to the 400m or handle tactical mid-distance doubles and triples at meets.
Not For: Long-distance events from 5,000m to 10,000m.
